Scott is returning to the UK briefly for a family wedding this month, and is taking the opportunity to make a couple of visits to partner churches – and he’s coming to visit us here in Kirby.
So clear your diary – Monday 22nd March, 7:30pm. And because we wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to share a more informal time as well, we’re meeting an hour beforehand for a bring-and-share tea.
Scott will be bringing news of how things are going – I’m sure you all regularly read his blog anyway, but just in case you’ve missed some of the latest news, let me mention a couple of things:
They’ve just recently had their second baptismal service:

And here’s what Scott wrote:
How wonderful to have our second baptismal service at El Puente Cafe Iglesia . Our small church plant is growing and people are becoming more committed to God and to the church fellowship which is really wonderful to see! Church life in Peru is certainly different for us Scott pumped up the paddling pool, filled it with cold and then added hot water, arranged the songs on the computer, set up the PA as well as preaching the sermon and then baptising Carlotta!
And Scott also visited Yucay:

There is a wonderful community spirit in Yucay , recently when Scott visited he was surprised to discover that the men in the village decided to give the ladies a break and to take responsibility for cooking for 300 people that day. Many people donate dry goods but what they are really missing is fish and meat so we took out a huge box of fish which they were delighted with !
