Hi

I am looking into the genealogy of my family and find they spent a short time in Kirby Luxloe. They lived in 'Dawn Cottage, and the family name was FEAR.

They came to Kirby Luxloe with a Baptist/Free Church tradition from Bassaleg in S Wales and arrived in your village about 1928 as newly weds. The parents were Paul and Bertha FEAR and at least two children were born in the village, John (b1928) and David (b1931)

They left the village for Leicester in the early 1930's. Once in Leicester they joined the Exclusive Brethren.

Did they leave any mark in the village or in your chapel records, or do you have any knowledge of the home they set up at "Dawn Cottage"?

I would be delighted to have any information regarding their time in Kirby Muxloe

Thank you n advance

Next KFC will be May 9th (due to Easter & Bank Holiday) when we shall be celebrating Pentecost in our own inimitable style. We shall remember how the first disciples spoke in many languages to a host of different nationalities when the Holy Spirit gifted them, by making & cooking things from differnt countries. A special emphasis will be on chocolate of course, to honour our pastors homeland (your challenge is to come and find out where that is).
